[SOLVED]
I resolved the issue by installing a slightly older version of the video driver package.
I found a copy of 24.20.100.6025 dated 26 April 2018 and this worked.
Version 24.20.100.6194 dated 11 July 2018 DOES NOT install on a G5400 system.

The current version does not install. I had the same issue - it says it supports UHD605, 620 and 630 but not 610.
Use the 24.20.100.6025 version and it will install correctly. Works fine.

@Scott - the latest version is the problem. Installing that is met with a "This software isn't compatible" message and it terminates without installing.
The previous version installs correctly for the g5400 with UHD610 graphics.

Where should I be getting my Graphics Driver
I see that I have multiple option for obtaining Intel Graphics Driver updates: Dell.com, Intel.com and Windows Update for Windows 10.
But, the driver versions are not the same across all three, so where do I get the "Best" Intel Graphics Driver ?
1. Where do you recommend I check for an updated Intel graphics Driver ?
2. Why are there different drivers posted between, Dell, Intel and Microsoft ?
3. Are all these drivers Signed with the latest HLK from Windows 10 or are these old ?

I am sending you the Intel® Xeon® Processor Scalable Family Specification Update document. It contains the maximum speed per Core with Intel® Turbo Boost enable for the Intel®Scalable processors including the Gold 6126 on page 13.

The turbo steps were not published; however, it provides with the maximum speed per Core.

Yeah, I'll ckeck that, i'm not sure [EDIT] I check it and the optane is in the M2_2 slot and the PCIe_E4 is free...
.... But now I have a different problem... Tryin' to make it work, i uninstall the optane driver, but now when I try to install it again the optane driver says "unrecoverable error during installation" (i translate this from spanish), and the installation is canceled.
Here's a print and attached the optane log and the SSU log.

After careful consideration, I decided to wipe the system and start fresh. Upon reinstall of Win 10 all 16 cores are shown. A fix? I am not sure I would call it a fix, but it was a successful workaround nonetheless.

richiey Just an update for your interest...
I'm still in a support session with Intel regarding this.
However I have isolated the issue to be somehow related to my RAM.
I actually have 2x nuc6 boxes, and I can reproduce the issue at will (though extremely time consuming) by installing a specific set of RAM DIMMs in either box.
The RAM with maximum effect is 2x 8GB G.SKILL RipJaws. Another set of 2x 4G G.SKILL still has exhibits the issue, but extremely rarely in comparison.
I'm still performing some more tests and plan to report back in future.
Exactly how RAM interferes with DisplayPort is not yet clear, but does explain some of the observations.

When the link-down-on-close private flag is set to "on", the port's link will go down when the interface is brought down using the ifconfig ethX down command.
Use ethtool to view and set link-down-on-close, as follows:
ethtool --show-priv-flags ethX
ethtool --set-priv-flags ethX link-down-on-close [on|off]

a week later, let me see if i can help you out a bit
it creates this task
Dropbox - Intel Telemetry 2 (x86).xml
which points to this folder/file C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Telemetry 2.0\lrio.exe
I obviously deleted the task, and deleted the folder. After a restart, it now leaves me with a non functioning blank icon in the control panel...
so with the aforementioned information, can somebody now educate me on how to finish eradicating this?

Intel AC9260 install issue
My computer upgrade from windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 pro. Then I install AC9260 in my Dell Optiplex XE2.
However I couldn't install Intel AC9260 smoothly.
I try to install AC9260 in two different Optiplex XE2, both have them have the same issue. I try several driver "WiFi_20.10,WiFi_20.30,WiFi_20.40,WiFi_20.50,WiFi_20.60 Driver64_Win10".
Still couldn't make AC9260 work properly.
1. Couldn't radio on/off correctly.
2. Couldn't find any SSID.
3. wi-Fi status incorrectly.

Yes, I was able to resolve this issue by re-inserting the memory module again.
Can you confirm these settings on my bios page. I am not sure whether I should modify any of these or not.
Also, my USB 3.o external hard disk works intermittently . Sometimes it is not detected by the nuc although I can hear the hard disk spinning. If I try changing ports then it shows up in the explorer(not always). I installed most of the drivers for this device, so do I have to additionally install some specific driver for this USB 3 issue ?
